The Census
Apr 01, 2020 Season 1 Episode 1
College of DuPage

Most people currently are focused on how their daily lives have changed by the coronavirus (COVID-19). But 2020 is a census year and the count will continue. In fact, for the first time in history, the census can be answered online or by phone. By now you've likely come across some form of promotion for the 2020 Census. But did you know that your participation is imperative in shaping the outlook of your community for the next 10 years? In the first full episode of Listen Up DuPage, hear from community leaders Dr. Brian Caputo, President of College of DuPage; Daniel Cronin, DuPage County Board Chairman; and Stephanie Quirk, COD Student Life Coordinator as they dive into what you need to know about the Census, including how the process works and why it is important for all DuPage County residents to play a part in getting a full population count. While this episode was recorded before sheltering and self-distancing were implemented, the content remains relevant and critical for people to hear.
